LEYLAND ENTERPRISES-WE NEED YOUR MUSIC PRODUCT NOW!
SO WHO AM I?
Who is this guy Jim Girling? Great question-as soon as I know you’ll know! But in the meantime here’s the 30 second bio-grew up near Chicago, normal middle class upbringing, played sports a little, 2 siblings, parents married 40 years, never arrested (ok there was that whole toilet papering thing when I was 15 but that doesn’t really count), went to college, got married, got divorced, blah blah blah.
I've spent most of my adult life in the music business. I’ve done it all-played in a band, engineered, produced, live lighting & sound, booking agent, marketing, merchandising, purchasing, you name it. At one point I was a “big cheese” at the largest wholesaler of prerecorded music in the free world.I MISS THE MUSIC BUSINESS!
OK, let’s clarify. I miss the people, the creativity, the artists, the making of music. I miss helping artists succeed, employees succeed, and customers succeed. And I miss the tools for making music. I still salivate every time I see a vintage Les Paul, a 64 channel recording studio console, or a live concert where the electricity fills the hall, not just the speakers. Those of you who know, know. It’s in your blood, its just part of you.
So why am I here instead of there? Heck I’m 56 years old, I had a good run, I like where I live, I’ve got great friends, I’m in love with a local woman, and let’s face it, the music biz ain’t what it used to be.SO WHAT’S THE SOLUTION?
Well, I suppose I could try to get back in the biz. Believe me I’ve thought a lot about that. And maybe I will if the right opportunity comes along. But I’ve been thinking/dreaming about something-growing a music related business, selling it for big bucks when I turn 65, retiring, and spending the rest of my days playing my Les Paul (or Strat) on the weekends, bouncing the grand kids on my knee, etc., etc. But in the mean time you & I got work to do!!
WE
NEED YOUR STUFF!
Lyric sheets?
Saxophones? Drum sets, World instruments? Music accessories? Recording
equipment? Stage lighting or sound equipment? Old LP's (hey you’d be shocked
at the value)? Stompboxes? M-audio? Digital audio? A 1950 something Les Paul?
(OK I can dream can’t I)? No matter what it is, if you and I work something
out, I’ll get back into the biz and you’ll have some serious sales. Hey it’s a win win for both of us! That’s right! Whatever music product you have, we need it!And you know what? We can sell it!
Tell me what you’ve got, & I’ll work hard to make a deal that works for you
whether it’s a dropship model, commission, heck I’ll even do a wholesale deal
if the price is right. I need- no I want your
music products.
IT'S MY JOB TO GET YOU THE VERY BEST PRICE FOR YOUR MERCHANDISE
So I invite you to call or email me personally for a confidential discussion of your unique inventory management needs. A quick 15 minute phone call is all we’ll need to determine if this makes sense for the both of us. If not, no harm done, and we’ll both be on our way.
